Reconstruction of Plant Transformer Sub-stations at JSC Olainfarm

On 28 December 2012, JSC Olainfarm concluded an agreement No. KPFI-15.1/52 with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development and the limited liability company “Environmental Investment Fund” on the implementation of the project “Reconstruction of plant transformer sub-stations at JSC Olainfarm”.

The aim of the project is to modernise the power sypply system at the manufacturing centre, thereby significantly reducing power losses in the manufacturing process and achieving total COD emission cuts of 99,029.84 kg CO2/year and the carbon dioxide emission reduction ratio to requested project funding from the financial instrument of 0.701 kg CO2/lats.

The project was implemented until 30 April 2013.

The total project costs are 563,457.24 EUR (396,000.00 LVL). Of the total costs, the requested financing from the Climate Change Financial Instrument (CCFI) is 200,910.52 EUR.

Project chronology:

  • On 3 January 2013, the procurement procedure within the project on reconstruction of plant transformer sub-stations at JSC Olainfarm was finalised.
  • As of May 2013, project No. KPFI-15.1/52 was fully implemented and the project aim was achieved.
