On September 3, 2020, JSC Olainfarm signed an agreement No. VP-L-2020\52 with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia on innovation voucher support service under the Operational Program “Growth and Employment” 1.2.1. specific aid objective “Increase private sector investment in R&D” 1.2.1.2. activity “Support for the improvement of the technology transfer system”. 

The aim of the project is to carry out industrial research of the active pharmaceutical ingredient, within the framework of which the synthesis pathway of the active pharmaceutical ingredient production will be researched and developed.

The production synthesis path created as a result of the project will be the basis for further work on the development of the active pharmaceutical ingredient and the finished dosage form.

On October 12, 2020, JSC “Olainfarm” signed a service agreement with the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis for the performance of feasibility study. The research work was completed in March 2021 and performed in accordance with the technical specification and duration – 6 months.

The total cost of the project is EUR 30,000 excluding VAT, EUR 25,000 co-financed by European Regional Development Fund.
